Connect Stripe so you can get paid

The one setup step that everything financial depends on — and where the money actually goes.

Until Stripe is connected, nothing in Sign&Shoot can take money. Deposits fail, invoice payment links fail, and clients see a message saying you haven't set up online payments yet.

Connecting

  1. 1

Go to Settings → Payments & Billing

The Payments section is at the top.

  2. 2

    Press "Connect Stripe"

You'll be handed to Stripe to either sign in to an existing account or create one.

  3. 3

    Finish Stripe's own checks

Stripe asks for your business details and usually some form of ID. This is their requirement, not ours, and until it's complete payouts stay on hold.

  4. 4

    Come back

The button is replaced by a green bar confirming you can accept payments.

Where the money goes

Payments go to your own Stripe account and then to your bank on Stripe's normal payout schedule. We never hold your money — there's no Sign&Shoot balance and nothing to withdraw.

What we take is a platform fee, deducted at the moment of payment, and it depends on your plan:

Stripe's own processing fees apply on top and are charged by Stripe, separately from us.

How clients pay

Card and US bank debit (ACH) are both accepted. ACH is cheaper for large amounts but takes days to settle, so a booking paid that way stays unpaid until the money actually clears.

Payment timing

In the same settings section there's "Payment due before session" — how far ahead of the shoot the deposit is due. It defaults to 48 hours, and can be set anywhere from 24 hours to 60 days. Clients see the resulting date on their portal.

Common questions

Can I use PayPal or Square instead?

No. Stripe is the only payment provider Sign&Shoot integrates with.

Do I need Stripe if I take cash or bank transfer?

No — you can run bookings without it and mark invoices paid by hand. You just can't collect anything online.

When does money reach my bank?

On Stripe's schedule, which is typically a couple of days for card payments once your account is fully verified. That's between you and Stripe.
