Use your own domain or a subdomain

yourstudio.signshoot.com on Starter and up, book.yourstudio.com on Pro — with the exact DNS record.

Both options live in Settings → Branding & Domain.

A subdomain

Gets you yourstudio.signshoot.com instead of signshoot.com/your-name. Type the part you want in the box — lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens — and press Save. It works immediately; there's no DNS to configure.

Your own domain

This is a Pro feature and needs one DNS record.

  1. 1

    Enter the domain

Something like book.yourstudio.com. A subdomain of a domain you own is the usual choice — it leaves your main site alone.

  2. 2

    Press Save

The DNS details you need appear underneath.

  3. 3

Add the CNAME at your registrar

Wherever your domain lives — GoDaddy, Namecheap, Cloudflare. Type CNAME, name your domain, value cname.vercel-dns.com.

  4. 4

    Press "Verify DNS"

The badge moves from Pending to Verified. If it doesn't, DNS may not have propagated yet.

TypeNameValue
CNAMEYour domain, e.g. book.yourstudio.comcname.vercel-dns.com

DNS changes can take up to 48 hours, though it's usually minutes. If verification fails, wait a bit and try again before assuming something's wrong.

Common questions

Can I use my root domain rather than a subdomain?

A CNAME on a root domain isn't supported by every registrar. Some offer CNAME flattening or ALIAS records; if yours doesn't, use a subdomain like book. or hello.

Does my old link keep working?

Yes. signshoot.com/your-name continues to work regardless.

What if I downgrade?

Custom domains need an active Pro plan. If it lapses, visitors are redirected to your standard Sign&Shoot address rather than hitting a dead page.
